Abt Associates were enaged by the Australian Government Department of Health to provide a comprehensive review of the COVIDSafe application. Requiring technical expertise to comment on the technology underpinning the app, Abt engaged Bdna to assist with the COVIDSafe review.
Our Role
Bdna's role was to leverage our application development knowledge, experience and expertise to evaluate the appropriateness, effectiveness and efficiency of the COVIDSafe application, including providing commentary on the decision to implement a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) solution for the purposes of contact tracing.
Outcome
Bdna delivered a factual and objective report that commented on the effectiveness of the technology utilised by the application.
Alongside Abt, Bdna submitted the COVIDSafe application review final report to the Australian Government Department of Health in January 2021.
